I already had the double layer version of this sweatshirt and love it. I wanted one for a bit warmer temperatures and bought this. They are literally the best sweatshirts money can buy that I know of. What I really love about them is the hood and the snaps at the neck. Sweatshirts are great for keeping your head warm by putting the hood on but regular sweatshirts then leave your neck exposed to cold, wind, etc. With these there is a 3 snap system where you can snap the bottom of the hood closed around your neck to keep it warm. The hood is also great because it's big and doesn't squash your hair. Finally there's the overall quality of these sweatshirts that is just excellent. Great materials, well sewn, great colors. It's a pleasure to find and use a product this well made. And my feeling is that they'll last for years - I've already had my double layer one for 3+ years and it looks new.The Arborwear hoodies are some of my favorite hoodies out there. They may not be the most fashionable, as they are not slim fit, but they excel in comfort and durability. Plus (and this is a BIG plus for me), it has the biggest hood I’ve seen on a hoodie. When the hood is up and the buttons are unbuttoned, it’ll give the wearer a “grim reaper” look (which I like!). With each button that you button-up, it will look less and less grim reaper like.Surprisingly, the buttons do a great job of tightening the hood up around the head on those colder days.I’m 6ft and 150lbs and I am able to wear a large or a medium. For complete comfort- I wear the large. For a slighter cleaner looking fit, I wear the medium. Even with the medium, this hoodie fits me slightly loose around the body and arms, and the sleeves are just about perfect. Honestly- I’d prefer if the sleeves on the medium were an inch longer. My ideal fit would probably be a Small-Tall, which, unfortunately, they don’t make.It’s a great sweatshirt I wear it all the time. Just wish it hadn’t shrunk in the wash. It didn’t shrink terribly but you can feel it and you can notice it. Other than that 5 star product.I’ve bought my husband Arborwear’s SINGLE & DOUBLE THICKNESS HOODED SWEATSHIRTs and he couldn’t be happier with them. He loves: (1) the difference in the thickness (single is for Spring & Fall & double is only for Winter..because it’s so thick), (2) how they fit, (3) that he can snap up the neck to keep out the elements, (4) the hood provides warmth against the elements, and (5) most of all...nothing else on the market feels as good or provides the needed warmth he needs to be out in the elements since he owns a General Contracting business and a lot of his work is outside. I love how well they wash and how they feel....I’ve even bought my teenage son a double-thickness hooded sweatshirt because he gets cold all the time and he loved how his dad’s felt.Thank you Arborwear for making a QUALITY PRODUCT that I know will last for years!! No doubt I will be buying more Arborwear clothing!!I bought this after waffling about whether the double-thick shirt would be too heavy for banging around the house and garage. Verdict: this is great for around the house or on chilly days with a light jacket. If you're going to be braving blizzards the double-thick may be more your speed, but for crisp days and garage chores, this lighter weight shirt is perfect. It's nice, well built and thoughtful details abound. The snaps under the chin are odd at first but a fine replacement for a drawstring. The soft lining in the hand warmer is soft and fuzzy without snagging on chapped hands or knuckles (folks who work outdoors will know what I mean). The hood is large enough to wear over a toboggan or cap without being huge.I will say that if you're expecting a baggy sweatsirt to size up one. The cut is close, but not slim.Update: Jan. 2020Still wearing this sweatshirt. I've worked construction, on farms, and manufacturing since buying this shirt. It's picked up stains and one tear (both my fault) I've worn a hole in the right cuff and there's a loose seam in the hand warmer pocket. Not bad for six years of wear. The waist elastic is a little loose, but otherwise the materials are still solid. Cuffs still tight, no pilling of the lining, snaps still work fine. This is a darn good shirt. Nothing else even comes close. They fit the best, last the longest and are the most comfortable. Mine last an average of two years before they start to look a little abused. I wear them every day in the winter so they're going through the wash a couple times a week.
